Who is always the same person? I am many, and at least today I want to show you several versions of the woman I inhabit. Maybe today I’ll decide to say enough, to be what I’m not supposed to be, to walk with my own steps. A journey between revealing and hiding, between inhabiting that “suit” or breaking it…

Woman is a piece born from the womb. Woman is womb. It is blood, fluids, flesh. Woman is articulating myself from my menstrual cycle, from my hormones. It is allowing myself to be and to create from the energy that I am.

Woman is a solo directed and performed by Sybilla Gutiérrez. It was created from the study of the author’s menstrual cycle, examining its phases and transphases to create from this paradigm — where we are our hormones and our body — and where we can break free from the structures imposed by patriarchy.
